  • What is CBD?

CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is a naturally occurring chemical compound from the cannabis plant. Unlike its cousin tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), it's not psychoactive.

  • Should I use CBD for pain relief?

Topical CBD has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and analgesic (pain-killing) properties providing therapeutic pain relief without entering the bloodstream or the negative side effects commonly associated with the other alternatives such as NSAIDS.

  • How do I use CBD?

CBD’s benefits are best absorbed through the skin to provide maximum pain relief. Topical use provides more control in application to target the area(s) needed for pain relief. When applied it does not penetrate deep enough to get into the bloodstream.

  • Does it get me high or effect mind state?

Nope! CBD will not get you high or affect your state of mind. Feelings of being “high” are caused by THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol). According to the World Health Organization, CBD does not produce adverse reactions or effects in humans seen with cannabinoids like THC.

When applied topically, the trace amounts (0.3 percent) of THC from full spectrum CBD will not penetrate deep enough to affect the bloodstream.

  • Are there side effects?

Using topicals containing CBD may result in skin irritation. If irritation occurs discontinue use immediately. If irritation persists consult a physician.

  • Is it addictive?

No, per the World Health Organization, CBD has not shown significant effects of abuse potential or physical dependency. Across a number of controlled and open label trials of the potential therapeutic effects, CBD has been seen as well-tolerated with a good safety profile.

  • Is it legal?

Yes! CBD from hemp is legal. The 2018 Farm Bill legalized hemp and hemp-derived products on a federal level. The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) states “CBD oil from hemp is no longer a Schedule 1 controlled-substance, or drug”. Per section 10113 of the Farm Bill, hemp cannot contain more than 0.3 percent THC by weight.

  • Is CBD safe for my dog?

Yes! Now your pup can explore the benefits of CBD too. Similar to how it works in humans, CBD can provide anti-inflammatory and analgesic (pain-killing) properties. Our CBD Treats help relieve anxiety due to the calming effects. Best part - no THC - meaning no confusing or sluggish side effects.
